Ph.Dad: Sympathy Weight Gain

Ph.Dad: Sympathy Weight Gain

Today, I’m happy to introduce a new YouTube series affiliated with Philosophy Matters: Ph.Dad. This year, I’m turning 30, starting a Ph.D. program, and having my first kid, so I’ve decided to document the process and all that follows from it as I try to live the good life that we discuss here at Philosophy Matters.

A little follow-up to what’s in the video: I’ve been following the diet in Bob Harper’s Jumpstart to Skinny book. I may come across as angry about the diet, but it’s really been quite good! In the first 14 days, I lost 11 pounds, and that was following only the diet and not the added exercise routine as well. This coming week, I’m planning on adding in the exercises as well. Of course, I’m not sure Lea’s completely thrilled that I’m aiming to lose weight while she’s (as she should be) gaining weight! 🙂

Having said all that, it really is a TON of greens that you have to eat. I’ve found myself reducing the greens and still ending up full. Let me know if you have any questions about this book, and I’ll be happy to answer them:
